About Today's Teens

The Today’s Teens Conference is the longest running Youth Ministry training conference in Canada, started by John Wilkinson with a commitment to provide those ministering to youth with the latest research and trends, practical skill development and awareness of what it takes to relevantly reach and disciple the next generation.

Today’s Teens Conference 2023 is BACK IN PERSON ready to celebrate our 40th Anniversary at the original location of conference (Bayview Glen Church in Markham, Ontario) as a gathering of ministry leaders, youth workers, pastors, teachers, community workers, camp staff, and student leaders all under one roof!

The Today’s Teens is about inspiring, equipping and networking thousands of youth, young adults and adults with the latest research and training resources to most effectively respond to the challenging realities of ministering to this next generation and see how we have EXTRAORDINARY ministry impact coming out of a worldwide pandemic that changed everything!

We are proud to emphasize CANADIAN content and communicators as we all look to rethink and adjust how we minister to youth, both inside and outside of the church, and see how youth ministry truly is “SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY”. Through this conference we will see that the EXTRAORDINARY is something right in front of us every day – the chance to invest into students, to share the message of Jesus, to be a listening ear, to love faithfully, to seek justice, to live out the word of God.

Together let us discover and be equipped in our new reality on how we can invest into the next generation in the day-to-day realities and equipping student leaders get to share the extraordinary message of God’s love and grace to their peers through their words, actions and attitudes in their everyday encounters.

If you’ve never attended a Today’s Teens Conference, it is a very unique gathering. This is the one place where youth pastors, camp leaders, community and volunteer youth ministry workers have an entire conference focused on their needs, while simultaneously, under the same roof, there is a specialized experience for their youth to be trained and empowered to communicate and live out the message of Jesus in word and deed to their peers.

Over the years we have remained committed to providing affordable training to thousands of youth ministry leaders and youth from across the province matched with a high quality and practical experience that sees the developing of healthy leaders leading healthy ministries which will have a transformational impact on young people, who will in turn transform their communities, and beyond.

This annual “Ontario Youth Ministry Gathering” is a one-day experience designed to send youth pastors, parents, camp leaders, community workers and volunteer ministry team leaders, alongside their youth, back into their communities equipped, encouraged and inspired to lead the next generation towards FOLLOWING Jesus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Since 1983, close to 40,000 youth & youth workers through the Today's Teens Conference have been inspired, resourced & equipped with the latest research, insights and practical tools to reach and disciple the next generation. For many, it has become an annual "family gathering" of youth ministry leaders, both paid and volunteer, who come from the local church ministry, serve as community youth workers, are involved in camp ministry or simply are parenting teens, to encourage and spur one another on as we seek to see more youth move closer into relationship with Jesus.

Over the years, Youth Unlimited has continued to adapt the Today's Teens Conference (under the leadership of Matt Wilkinson and, formerly, Paul Robertson) to most effectively respond to the changing realities and needs of youth and youth workers. We remain committed to providing a high quality, practical and affordable training to thousands of youth ministry leaders and youth from across 40+ denominations each year.
